10-19

 Today we read letters 36-40 from the color purple and sofia went to jail for hitting the mayor and got her kids taken away from her. Harpo got a new girlfriend name Squeaky but her real name is Mary Agnes. Her nickname is Squeak because her voice is really squeaky but I don’t. think she like being called that name but never corrected him.

 Today we took a benchmark and to be honest I didn’t even read the passage I only read like a paragraph. The passage was about John F Kennedy speech but it was kind of boring so that’s what I stop reading it. Plus my comprehension skills are not the best so I doubt if I was to read the whole passage I would of understand it.

 Today we read letters 53-60 and it was about Nettie writing letters to Celie. Celie thought Nettie was dead because she hasn’t heard from her but all along she’s in Africa. Nettie was writing her letters to celie but mr was hiding them from her. Nettie is in Africa with celie’s son and daughter.
