Today we did a bell ringer on moments from black history that were most important to you and I put Brianna Taylor because the killers have not been arrested yet. Then we read a poem by Langston Hughes called “The Negro Speaks Of Rivers and it was about the long history of the black race. In the poem he compare rivers to the human blood in human veins became they both flow continuously. The message in the poem was black people or not 2nd class citizens and black people shaped history. Then we started talking about our ancient roots and what African Americans were called back in 1600’s to the present day.
